Covid-19 vaccine update
You WILL be called or written to accordingly, please be patient, and kindly do not contact the Surgery via telephone or email to enquire about your vaccine.
The priority list for Covid-19 vaccination set out by The Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation (JCVI) is as follows:
Residents in a care home for older adults and their carers
All those 80 years of age and over and frontline health and social care workers
All those 75 years of age and over
All those 70 years of age and over and clinically extremely vulnerable individuals
All those 65 years of age and over
All individuals aged 16 years to 64 years with underlying health conditions which put them at higher risk of serious disease and mortality
All those 60 years of age and over
All those 55 years of age and over
All those 50 years of age and over
When you arrive for your appointment, please note the following.
- You must wear a face covering.
- You must Social Distance at all times.
- Please do not arrive early for your appointment, this will increase the queue times.
- Come alone if you are able to. Only one carer may accompany you.
- If you develop any symptoms of Covid, please do not attend your appointment.
- Be prepared to queue outside. There will be chairs for those who cannot stand for long.
Most importantly, please keep your spirits high! This is new to all of us and we are dealing with a very delicate vaccine and have to handle with care. There may be delays to your appointment time, especially when we are transporting the vaccine to the clinic rooms. The staff are working hard to get this rolled out as smoothly as possible.

Extended Hours
Following consultation with our Patient Participation Group we have changed our extended hours sessions. We no longer offer Saturday morning appointments but instead offer some early morning appointments at Little Common Surgery for workers, and early morning and evening appointments at Old Town Surgery throughout the week. This will be for pre-booked appointments only. Appointments are available before 8am . Please contact our reception teams to book an appointment.

Our dedicated team are here to treat those minor ailments that occur as well as providing specialist management of long-term conditions and clinics covering a wide range of healthcare issues. The technology also means you can now do a lot of things from the comfort of your home such as order a repeat prescription or cancel an appointment.
